Our company is currently under term contact with a major five star resort in the Port Douglas area and as a result we are always looking for those extra staff, if you have a keen eye for detail, disciplined in your ethics and don’t mind a good work-out come along and give it a go!

A Note About the Weather and Climate

Tropical North Queensland is blessed with beautiful weather, but depending on your perspective you may even find winter to be warmer than expected. Some may enjoy the vitality of the wet season with its thunderstorms and tropical balmy evenings, while others prefer the endless sea breezes and endless sunny days of winter, but here's a tip - all those beautiful promotional photos that you see in the brochures are generally taken between August and November.

There are really only two seasons in the tropical north:

• Winter: The ideal weather in Port Douglas for most is between May and October, which is the dry season. The dry season along with the low humidity and cool sea breezes makes it pleasurable for activities such as scuba diving, snorkelling, rainforest tours, in fact everything that Port Douglas and the reef is renowned for.
• Summer: Between November and April is the wet season with tropical monsoonal rain, warmer temperatures and high humidity. The wet season also heralds the splendour of magnificent waterfalls, vibrant flora growth and abundant wildlife. Out on the reef is a nice place to be in these warmer months.
